LONDON FASHION WEEK RETROSPECTIVE: DAY ONE

FYODOR GOLAN

To mark the end of London Fashion Week I thought I’d take a look back over the week and choose my three favourite shows from each day.  It turned out to be harder than it sounded.  After several hours I finally managed to narrow down my top three shows from day one, though honourable mentions go to PPQ, Emilia Wickstead and Maria Grachvogel.

My favourite show of the day was Fyodor Golan (pictured above).  The collection mixed textures to create a contrast between strong and soft.  Surely it’s only a matter of time before we see Beyonce in Fyodor Golan?

CORRIE NIELSEN

The influence of Nielsen’s former employer, Vivienne Westwood, is clearly visible in this tailored collection inspired by the designers’ Scottish ancestry.

FELDER FELDER

Admittedly this collection doesn’t exactly scream English winter but it has such an effortless sexiness about it that I couldn’t resist…
